How to set up Flixtele on Windows

A Windows PC offers the biggest screen and the most dependable playback of any device here, simply because it has the muscle to decode 4K without dropping frames. Installation is a standard desktop affair with one heads-up worth having: SmartScreen will flag the file, because the installer has not been downloaded often enough for Microsoft to build a reputation for it. Windows 10 and 11 are both supported.

checklistBefore you start

  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
  • Your username, password and server URL from the subscription email

Step-by-Step Setup

Windows Installation

1
download

Download Flixtele Player

Visit our Downloads page and take the Windows installer. Already running VLC or IPTV Smarters Pro on this machine? Either plays your subscription and you can jump to the login step — you will just need the server URL alongside your username and password.

2
install_desktop

Install the Application

Run the downloaded file. SmartScreen will likely show a blue "Windows protected your PC" panel — click "More info", then "Run anyway". It appears for any installer without an expensive code-signing reputation and says nothing about the file itself. Then follow the wizard: Next, accept, Install.

3
login

Login with Your Credentials

On Flixtele, enter the username and password from your subscription email and click Login. On another player, choose "Xtream Codes API" and enter the server URL, username and password, or use the M3U link. Paste rather than type — one mistyped character in a long server address is the most common cause of a failed first login.

4
memory

Enable Hardware Acceleration

In the player settings, switch on hardware decoding — sometimes labelled DXVA or GPU decoding. It shifts the workload from processor to graphics card: on a laptop, the difference between quiet and loud; on an older PC, the difference between smooth 4K and a slideshow.

5
play_circle

Enjoy on Your PC

Channels, guide, films and series are all loaded. To move it to the television, connect over HDMI or use Windows Cast — press Windows+K and select your TV. Full screen is F, or a double-click, in most players.

Common problems

Fixes specific to Windows

SmartScreen refuses to run the installer

Click "More info", then "Run anyway". If that button is absent, the download is probably incomplete — fetch it again and compare the file size with the Downloads page before running it.

Video stutters despite a fast connection

Hardware decoding is off, or the player fell back to software. Enable DXVA or GPU decoding in the player settings and update your graphics driver — a stale driver is a classic cause of dropped 4K frames.

The app will not connect but the website loads

A firewall or VPN is blocking the player. Allow the app through Windows Defender Firewall — Settings > Privacy & security > Windows Security > Firewall & network protection > Allow an app — and if you run a VPN, test with it off to find the culprit.
